The Great Escape
I wonder about things. A lot. One thing I wonder is if other people need an everyday escape like I do. I'm sure some people travel through life doing what they are doing and not thinking about or needing an escape.
You see, I consider myself an escape artist. If I have two free minutes my mind has escaped to a vacation in Ireland, or it's remembering past trips to Maine, Cayman, or Mexico. It is off thinking of a new plot for a book, or it's roaming the beautiful parks of Savannah.
I guess I think reality is okay. I mean I have to, otherwise I couldn't function normally. Reality is REAL life. Fortunately for me I don't have to be there all of the time. I always find time in my day for my escapes of reality and.........
Reading is my real escape. A good author can take you away. A great author (like any of these) can take you there and put you in the middle of their story.
So...now you know I am a little crazy and how I escape the insanity of every day life. If I don't have a book in my hands I have my hands on the keyboard typing my own stories.
What about you? What is your escape? Reading? Shopping? Crafts? Do you even need an escape? Or am I crazier than I thought?
